Big Pimpin'-Virgin Style
You know you don't even like to fly any other airline -anymore. Who cares if they have television, they don't have video games. And food service, pfft, if you can't swipe it, you don't want it. Virgin has a style that's not only hip, it delivers on its promise
So my first trip was from SFO-LAS and I wanted to check out what everyone else was talking about. I'm a convert! I converted both my bosses, most of my friends, now I'm working on getting my own tour and taking my show to the road. "Fly Virgin - Possibly meet a virgin (getting laid is not guaranteed)".
So I board, start playing with all the buttons. The plane chat? Cool. I mean, what if I don't want to talk to the weird, old guy sitting next to me. What if, like three rows back there is so major hotty that is just waiting for my text message? I start randomly sending out seat text messages. It's fun, but I lost interest as I spot the food. On this flight you can only order snacks and I forgot to eat lunch SO, cookies and soda it was.
But. All eyes were on me, because half the plane hadn't even figured out how I was getting my food. I actually had to teach the people sitting next to me how to use their interface. They didn't know what the word interface was. 'Nuff said. After my food and snacks I started up a game of Mahjong and randomly watched episodes of Grey's Anatomy. Before I knew it, my awesome flight was over!
One of the things I loved the best was the mood lighting and the funk music that started playing when we landed. What other airlines makes you feel like you just stepped into your ipod. Which, btw, I totally loved that song their were playing - I need to find out what it was. I'm planning a trip to NY and I'm totally flying Virgin! I was a fan before they officially launched, a Founding Member, an actual customer and now I can say I'm a V.A.D., Virgin America Devotee~!
