8 hours in heaven,
In February of 2008 my wife, our friends and I were booked on our first Virgin America flight from Los Angeles to New York. Having read about Virgin America and having been an EleVate member since before the airline began, I was very excited. About 5 minutes after we left the gate, we were informed by the captain that take-off would be delayed due to rough weather over New York. The delay ended up being almost a full hour, but we did finally take off. 6 hours later we're over New York just as another storm passes over. We're forced to circle the city for over an hour before it is safe to land.
All told we spent just over 8 hours on the plane......and I couldn't have been happier!! Thanks to VA's on board computer and entertainment system, my wife, friends and I hardly knew what happened. We were lost in the music, movies and especially the video games! It was great!
Since that trip I, sadly, have not had the chance to fly VA again, but I have suggested it to everyone, and many of my New York bound friends have taken my advise. They all say what I did. They love the plane, the staff and, of course, the entertainment system!
Thanks VA!!!
PS. A special thank you to whomever chose what music to put on the plane. Air, Theivery Corporation, Justice and Daft Punk?? I LOVE electronic music, but never get to hear it in settings such as this. So again. Thank you!!!
